    Pay It Forward

Standing With Players — Past, Present, and Future

The PFWADA Pay It Forward Fund provides support to players who face challenges at any stage of their football journey — before, during, or after their playing career.

It welcomes contributions from former and current players, businesses fulfilling their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), state governments, and private individuals who want to give back to the game and its people.

This fund operates under strict transparency and committee oversight. Every case is assessed individually, and all other support options must be explored first. Funds are only released for verified needs — because this isn't PFWADA's money; it's a collective commitment from the football family.

    What the fund supports

    • Contract and wage disputes
    • Urgent medical treatments and surgeries
    • Player injuries and rehabilitation (mental or physical)
    • Funeral or bereavement support
    • Education and re-training opportunities

    Accountability and donor choice

Contributors can choose to direct their donations toward specific causes such as education, medical assistance, or retired player welfare. PFWADA will maintain full transparency through periodic public reports, allowing every donor to see how their contribution is making a difference.

    Why it matters

Football is a community, not just a competition. By paying it forward, we create a culture of solidarity — where players support one another before, during, and after their careers.

It's not charity — it's responsibility, unity, and respect for the game we all love.

How to Contribute or Apply for Support

    For Contributors

If you are a player, organisation, business, state body, or individual donor who wishes to contribute to the PFWADA Pay It Forward Fund, you can do so through:

    • Direct transfer or pledge: Contact the PFWADA Secretariat at info@pfwda.org to receive official banking and reporting details.
    • Category-specific giving: Indicate if you would like your donation directed to a specific cause (medical support, education, retired player welfare, etc.).
    • Corporate partnerships: Businesses or governments can coordinate with the PFWADA CSR & Partnerships Office to establish annual or one-off commitments with full transparency reports.

All donations are formally acknowledged, and PFWADA will publish regular updates showing how contributions are used.

    For Players Seeking Support

Players in need may apply through the PFWADA Welfare Committee. Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis and must include:

    • A summary of the situation and the type of assistance requested.
    • Supporting documents (medical reports, contracts, invoices, etc.).
    • Proof that other possible sources of support have been explored.

    Send applications to info@pfwda.org.

Each case is reviewed confidentially by the committee, and approved cases are handled with dignity, discretion, and accountability.

    Final note

The Pay It Forward Fund belongs to everyone in football — past, present, and future. Whether you're giving or receiving, the goal is the same: to protect the people who make the game possible.
